HORSE Rescue and Sanctuary

Blue

My name is Blue..
I think they call me that because I have one blue eye.
I am twenty plus years old!
As you can see I'm a handsome paint pony about 14 hands tall.
I was brought to the Rescue from a horse camp, so you know I've had it sorta rough.
I have arthritis and am severely stifled in the left rear.
I've earned a quiet life for my senior years.
I'm not a hard keeper but require some medicine for my arthritis.

I need a sponsor.

After evaluating Blue, it has been decided that he will stay with the Rescue in sanctuary.

On December 1, 2005 Blue crossed over the Rainbow Bridge with Mike, Chris and Cham, his best buddy with him at the end. That afternoon, Mike noticed that Blue was breathing with difficulty and Chris called Dr. Blond, our vet right away. It was an hour before the Doc could get here and did an examination. We were hoping it was just something stuck in his windpipe but that wasn't to be. Somehow, Blue had twisted his intestine which the Doc found by rectal examination. At that point there was nothing to be done except to end his pain and suffering. We will miss his antics and his attitude especially when he always figured out how to get the lids off the feed cans and help himself to a little snack.
