Chance made his grand appearance here on December 30, 2001. He came from Greenwich, NY due to a family situational change.
He is totally blind in one eye and nearly blind in the other eye. He has been exceptionally well trained and was taken under the wing by Rachel, one of our volunteers and board members.
Rachel celebrated her eighteeth birthday on August 5, 2003 and was here at the facility at the crack of dawn to sign her placement contact.
Chance and Rachel are so good together. He will do anything she asks and trusts her with his life. These two have an uncanny bond among them selves. Chance will climb hills, cross streams, canter and anything else for Rachel.
On a sad note, Chance developed cancer and was euthanized in 2007.
