June 2006-Once again Herrmann's Royal Lipizzans will return to western New York. The date is still up in the air but the last two weeks of June are the normal times for them to be here. Check back for more information in January.

Great News! The Lipizzans are returning this Father's Day in June. The location is the Genesee County Fairgrounds right on Highway 5 next to Country Max. Times are Friday at 7:30 PM and Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 PM. Each performance lasts 1 1/2 hours and there is a fifteen minute intermission where you can go see the White Stallions up close and personal. Ticket prices are: Adults $14 in advance and $17 at the gate, Children 6-12 $12 in advance and $14 at the gate, Seniors over 65 and groups of 20 or more are $10. Children under 6 are free. You might want to bring an umbrella in case of rain. Call (585)584-8210 to order tickets. Tickets are available now but seating is limited and tickets are good for any performance. If you have never seen these magnificent dancing White Stallions don't miss this wonderful opportunity.

May 22 will be the Euchre Tournament at the Statesmen in Geneseo on Court St which is right across from SUNY Geneseo. There will be drawings and guaranteed fun from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. We will have 50-50 drawings and drawings for door prizes. Get ready for an afternoon of fun!

We are now planning a chicken barbeque on June 25 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Tickets will be $7.00 for adults and $3.50 for children. Take out will be available. This event will also be held at the Statesmen in Geneseo. We have booked the Country/Western Band "Damn Straight" and they will entertain us from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM. We will have a silent auction to benefit the horses.

We are planning a Ride-A-Thon to benefit the rescue in late September or early October. We hope to have 300-500 riders for this gala event. The event will be held at Mendon Ponds Park in one of the lodges. There will be free food for all attendees. You don't have to have a horse to attend. We are trying to lock in a band and there will be a silent auction. More details to follow.

Come one-Come all! The new Starbuck's in Geneseo, NY is donating the sale of their famous coffee to the rescue. This event is to be held in Geneseo on Saturday, February 19 at the Wal-Mart Store. Wal-Mart has generously agreed to match the donations from Starbuck's dollar for dollar. Time will be from 7:00 AM until we run out of coffee. Meet the student volunteers and Mike and Chris and have a great cup of coffee. UPDATE!!!We took in over $300 in four hours from the Coffee Sale. $147 from donations plus $147 from Wal-Mart and a late $10 donation. It was very cold but we had plenty of hot coffee to help keep us warm. Thanks to the students from FoHR, Starbucks and Wal-Mart for all their effort.
