Chantilly Le Cie(pronounced Lacy)arrived at the rescue at the beginning of August 2006 from eastern NY. She has been on the track but was not a big winner. She had leg problems and except for a puffy left ankle she appears to be sound from our observations. When she goes out to the new pasture we just completed, she runs, jumps around, bucks and has a good time. She is six years old and stand about 15.3 hands. She is so dark she almost looks black with no white on her except for her freeze brand. She is very dominant in the pasture especially when food is involved. We have found her easy to work with and she likes people and respects them but she would need an experienced rider as she is full of herself. She bathes, ties, allows fly spray and fly masks. She is good with her feet. Her tail touches the ground. She has a solid build and appears to be very strong. We would not suggest she be put with another dominant mare. She has a lot of potential and should take to pleasure riding very quickly. Her placement fee is $750.
We think LeCie may have found a home. She will be placed with a very knowledgable woman on Mar. 15th, 2008 for a one month trial. We hope these two will bond and it will become permanent.
