Maggie is a five year old mule. She came in with Gabe in January 2004. Maggie was purchased by her former owner to replace the beloved mule that she lost last year but Maggie didn't work out. She was sent to a trainer but came back worse than when she went. Obviously, Maggie was treated very rough at this alledged trainer's facility. She is sweet but scared of people. She really wants to trust and be someone's friend. She would make a very good gaming prospect as she is very quick on her feet and even does slide stops on her own. One of our volunteers who had never seen a mule asked in all seriousness "What kind of horse is that?" referring to Maggie. We nearly fell over laughing since Maggie is obviously a mule with those long ears. She is available for placement to a qualified home and we would prefer someone who has worked with mules in the past.
Maggie was placed with a loving family in Livonia, NY. She has two horses and another older mule for company and many, many acres of lush green pastures to play in.
