Moon is an fourteen year old registered Quarter horse gelding that was abandoned at a local boarding stable along with Buddy and Issey. He stands about 15.2 hands high and we were told that he was trained as a cutting horse but we will have to evaluate him first. Moon is still at the stable until we have room for him here at the rescue.
On Saturday, December 31, 2005 we evaluated Moon and he was not trained as a cutting horse. In fact, he is afraid of cows. He is very fast on turns and when giving him a clue to move out he tucks his butt under him and is gone. His turns are very quick so a prospective adopter would have to be aware that he is very fast. He also likes to give hugs and is very people oriented. Moon has been placed placed with Janet and Bill in Chaffee, NY.
