He was not abused but his mom was purchased at auction and was a definite abuse case. The folks that rescued her are keeping the dam but had no room for Moses at their home so we agreed to taking him.
We posted his availability on our mailing list. One responder in particular was very interested. It seems that Calvin F. from Panama, N.Y. had been looking for a black and white draft all his life and e-mailed us immediately.
Calvin made the 2 1/2 hour drive from home and got here at the same time that Moses did.
It was love at first sight.
On the 14th of May we hauled Moses to Calvin's home in Panama.
Moses now has three young ladies to keep him company including a PMU filly.
He is in heaven and the bond between Calvin and Moses gets stronger every day.
Calvin has agreed to get professional training for Moses.
His plans include training Moses to ride and pull a sleigh during the cold winter months.
We couldn't have picked a better home for Moses.
Calvin and Moses will have many years together.
