H.O.R.S.E. Rescue and Sanctuary

Rita is a five year old homozygous black and white Paint mare with blue eyes.
We got her from a divorce situation and she was bred at two and had her first foal at three.

We had her in a foster home due to space limitations and unfortunately, the people had a two year old stud Paint colt that broke down the fence to get to Rita. Rita's Repeat was born April 8, 2003.

Rita and baby have been placed with Bridgette and Jim in the Albany area. After Peetie was weaned, he was placed with some friends of Jim and Bridgette and Bridgette has stated on more than one occasion that she regreats giving him up.

In April 2007, Rita had to be euthanized due to a ruptured intestine. There is a possibility that her son, Petie will be coming back to Jim and Bridgette.
